How the review & test works.
Three stages — preparation, your review & test session, and receiving your certificate.
Before your session
As soon as you book you'll receive detailed instructions by email, including your Zoom link and a unique answer sheet. Upload your photo ID up to 2 hours before your scheduled sitting.
You'll need:
- Computer, laptop or tablet
- Smartphone
- Reliable high-speed internet (not 4G)
- Your voucher code from your confirmation email
During your session
- Join the Zoom session on your phone and complete identity and integrity checks
- Guided review of the key material with your assessor, with time for Q&A (20–30 minutes)
- Answer multiple-choice questions on your computer or tablet (not your phone)
- Review your answers and submit
- Get your results immediately after submitting
Why we include a review
A review before the test — going over the material and answering your questions — is one reason our pass rate is so high. It's part of every session, at no extra cost.
Assessment requirements
Boat Licence: 30 questions, 40 minutes — pass mark 87% (26/30)
PWC Endorsement: 15 questions, 20 minutes — pass mark 87% (13/15)
Boat + PWC combined: both tests together, 45 questions total

Sessions run up to 90 minutes in total, including the checks, review, Q&A and test(s).
After you pass
We post your Certificate of Competency the same day — by Australia Post Express with full tracking, at no extra charge.
Take it to any VicRoads office with your ID. You'll receive an interim licence on the spot while your permanent licence is processed and posted.
You'll need to complete an eyesight test and pay the VicRoads licence fee at the time.
Your review & test is already paid for.
Every bundle includes your review and test — no separate fee, no surprise charges.

3 or more days before your session: free of charge. We reissue your voucher and you rebook whenever you're ready.
Within 3 days of your session: a $30 fee applies. It's collected automatically when you rebook — we never chase you for it.
There are no cash refunds — your voucher stays alive so you can rebook anytime.
